Raymond Bosch

Our heavenly Father called Raymond John Bosch to his eternal home to be reunited with his precious wife on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was 91 years old. Ray and Loretta were able to celebrate Christmas together, which is something they've done for the past 69 years! What a special reunion that must have been! Ray was born in Laurel, MT on July 16, 1927, the oldest son of Philip and Margaret Wagner Bosch. His younger brother Fred completed the family two years later. Ray attended school in Laurel and began working at the Northern Pacific Railroad (Burlington Northern) as a teenager. He proudly served our country for two years while he was in the Navy. Ray's father played a large role in introducing him to his future wife, Loretta Reichert, at a dance in the Huntley Project area. They were married on November 5, 1949 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Pompey's Pillar, MT. Ray and Loretta were blessed with two daughters, Judy Arlene and Laura Rae (Laurie). Working on the railroad turned into a career for Ray and he retired after over 45 years of employment at the railroad in Laurel. After his retirement, Ray kept himself busy by tending to the upkeep of his home, yard, and vehicles. He was always certain everything he owned looked and operated the very best it possibly could; he was meticulous in every endeavor he took on – nothing was ever completed half way! Ray and Loretta enjoyed traveling whenever they could, whether it be extended vacations around the U.S. and Canada or weekend camping outings in the beautiful mountain and lake areas of Montana. Relaxing in the outdoors and fishing on pristine lakes were two of Ray's favorite pastimes throughout his entire life. Ray and Loretta lived in Laurel until September of 2015 when they sold the home they had built and lived in for 61 years and moved to Billings. Their beautiful marriage ended sadly when Loretta passed away in June of 2018. Ray's heart was broken, and he desperately wanted to be with Loretta each remaining day of his life. Those left behind to remember and rejoice in the memories they have of Ray are his daughter Laurie and son-in-law Ray Linn of Billings; his grandchildren Ryan Riesinger and wife Beth of Grand Forks, ND, Jonathan Riesinger and wife Erika of Rosemount, MN, and Kristen Linn of Billings; his great-grandchildren Alixx and husband Luke Provost of Apple Valley, MN, Kamryn and Jace Riesinger of Rosemount, MN, and Brandon and Anna Riesinger of Grand Forks, ND; his newborn great-great-grandson Mason Provost of Apple Valley, MN; son-in-law Bob Riesinger of Bloomington, MN; nephew David Bosch of Laurel, MT; sisters-in-law Diane Reichert-Williams of Billings, and Eleanor Reichert of Huntley, MT; brother-in-law Ernie Eddy of Missoula, MT; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray was welcomed into eternal life in heaven by his wife and soulmate Loretta; his oldest daughter Judy Riesinger; his parents Philip and Margaret Wagner Bosch; his younger brother Fred and sister-in-law Alma Bosch; his Reichert family members - Loretta's parents Frank Reichert, Sr. and Eva Mary Roll Reichert, and all nine of her siblings – brothers-in-law Carl, Eugene, Frank, Gabriel, and David Reichert and sisters-in-law Gloria Sherman, Christina Kitchel, Eva Eddy, and Julie Krum; his grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Vigil service on Thursday, February 7 at 7:00 in the evening at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Avenue, Billings, MT. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 717 18th Street West, Billings, MT, on Friday, February 8 at 1:00 in the afternoon. Inurnment will take place immediately after Mass at Calvary Cemetery, with a luncheon following in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Pius X Church, 717 18th Street West, Billings, MT. Ray's family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all those at TenderNest Assisted Living and Stillwater Hospice. The genuine care, kindness, and compassion you so freely gave to Ray and all of us in his final days is very much appreciated. May God bless each and every one of you!
