Obituary
Ted Harold Winchell, 43, of Billings, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent HealthCare on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 surrounded by his family. The son of Ruth Brisbo, Ted was born in Havre, MT on January 31, 1971. Ted joined his large family taking his place as the baby. His childhood was spent in Havre where he is still known today as the guy with the spikey hair riding his BMX bike around town. Ted moved to Billings to attend the College of Technology in automotive technology training. His love for bikes was too strong and he began working in the bike shop at Scheels from 1996 to 2013. He enjoyed numerous hobbies including riding bikes, hunting, fishing, playing pool and darts as well as camping with his family and friends. Ted's laugh will be remembered forever by all who knew him, his sense of humor was like no other and he loved to recite any comedy skit word for word. He was a sweet man, very kind, most loving husband, father, son, brother, friend and ‘dad' to hundreds of ‘all his kids', He was very much loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Preceding Ted in death are his paternal grandmother, Carmaleta The Boy; maternal grandparents: Annie White Cow, William Brisbo; his father Theodore ‘Smitty' The Boy; his special friend Stephen Bearcrane-Cole; ‘sis' Tina Cochran. Ted is survived by his mother Ruth Brisbo; his wife of 20 years Danni; daughter Adrian; son Michael; brothers: Doug, Roger, Douglas, Edward, Theodore and Adam; sisters: Linda, Judy, Susan, Sula, Suane, Shannon, Arleda, Wilma and Thelma; his beloved dogs Johnny Cash and Zoe. Visitation for Ted will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; a wake will begin at 7:00 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday all at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Cremation will take place after the services and his ashes will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at a later date.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one, Ted. My purpose in writing is found at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4: “ Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.” I look forward to God’s promise found at Isaiah 25:8: “ He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces..” Along with Revelation 21:4, where God promises to “wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore..” I hope these caring thoughts have helped you in some way.
