Loretta Wroot

Loretta Lael Wroot, 77, of Billings, went to heaven peacefully surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren while they sang hymns to her, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at St. Vincent Healthcare. She was born March 27, 1936 in Greybull, Wyoming, the daughter of Richard and Belle (Frederickson) Wheeler. She attended school in Greybull and the University of Wyoming. She lived in Ten Sleep, Wyoming before moving to Billings in 1974. From 1985 to 1990 she lived in Colorado Springs, CO. Mom worked for her brother in Colorado at a CPA office. In Billings she worked at Treasure State Costume and for Selover Honda Car Dealership. Mom loved to play the organ and loved square dancing and clogging. She was also a very talented artist and loved to paint and created beautiful birthday and wedding cakes. She had a passion for gardening. She loved game shows, especially Jeopardy and liked staying in touch with friends and family via Facebook. As a member of the Heights Ditzy Divas of the Red Hat Society, she enjoyed socializing with friends. Mom was also a brave breast cancer survivor who inspired us all. She is survived by her children, William Wroot of Loveland, CO, Lael (Carl) Parker, Dawn Townsley, Theresa (Leon) Roll, all of Billings, Leah (Dirk) Agee of Colorado Springs; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her best friend (BFF) Kathy Albertson (Thank you Kathy, Mom so enjoyed your adventures together); sister Sally Watson, brothers Larry and Dean Wheeler; five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents Wesley and Myrtle Wheeler and Frank and Olive Frederickson Mama, You are the Best Mamabear ever! We are so blessed by your love! You taught us the love of Jesus by the way you lived your life! Complete unconditional Love! And only those who loved her know what her life was worth. G.I.G.S. XO-XO-XO-XO-XO. The family would like to thank all the St. Vincent Healthcare staff for taking such good care of our Mom while she was there. Service: Memorial Services for Loretta will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
