Everyone should be so lucky to have an Aunt Dorsie. She was everyone's favorite aunt. Going to her house was always special, whether for a holiday meal or for a cup of coffee. Her laughter was contagious and she laughed often. I will miss her but am grateful to have had her in my life. Nancy Schultz

I was a college kid the first time I met Doris. She was the mom of my treasured University of Portland buddy and longtime friend, Mary. Reading Doris's obituary today brought back many wonderful memories. Doris was one of the most fun and loving individuals I have ever known. I fondly recall meals laden with laugher and lots of good times in the family's Yellowstone Avenue home. While I will miss Doris's laughter and warm, generous nature, I will forever remember her many kindnesses and spirited approach to life. She was truly one of a kind. The good kind. God's peace and strength to one of my very favorite families. Love you all, Phyllis Butterworth

Doris was always up for going out & enjoying being with people. I am guessing she hasn't made it far from the entrance to heaven as she is stopping to talk to everyone she hasn't seen for a while. St Peter is probably waiting on her to move along, just like Pete would. She was a great lady, I am so glad I got to know her & all the family. Ann Deegan
