Obituary
Sunrise February 7, 1968 Sunset June 22, 2011. Our princess left us far too soon. Heaven received an angel on June 22, 2011. A woman that made the heart of every person she met smile. A woman that on your worst day could tell you everything is going to be okay, and you left her arms knowing that it would be. On days when all your face could do is frown, she would always leave you with an ear to ear smile and belly that hurt from so much laughter. Her acceptance of others, whether children or adults, earned her the title “Momma Joe”. So many hearts broke on that beautiful morning, when our momma was called home. Leah was born on February 7, 1968 to her parents Francis B. and Georgette L. (Selwyn) Boyer in Wagner, South Dakota, at the same hospital her mother was born. Leah attended school at Little Flower Holy Rosary, Central Catholic H.S., and graduated from St. Labre H.S. in 1986. Soon after graduating she started her career at oil refineries as a process operator, her last position was at Cenex Harvest State, where she had served as a process operator for over 10 years. Leah was an incredible mother, she welcomed her first baby, Brooknee Francis, on July 31, 1986. On May 12, 1988 she gave birth to her second daughter, Brittnee Anne. Her first son Cleveland Benjamin joined his sisters on September 12, 1989. Her youngest boy, Peter Joseph joined the family January 17, 1991. Georgia Kennidee, Leahs youngest child, completed her family on March 23, 1995. Her kids happiness and love meant the world to Leah and she always meant the world to her children, they all grew up knowing their mother as their hero, the strongest woman in the world, and she always will be. Leah was also a blessed grandma with 5 beautiful Grandbabies that she loved and they always brought a smile to her heart. Her first grandbaby, Maleiah Sidney, her first grandson Kingston Francis “Bubbz” her partner in crime, Kash Koleman, Delainee Jane and Adrian Wayne. Her kids and grandkids meant everything to Leah, they were always #1 in her book. Leah accomplished many achievements in her short time on this earth. She performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage in 1996. Showing the world her talent performing a song written by her titled “Dance Around the Moon”. She was also a dirt track racer, known on the track as “The Princess Warrior”. Leah was also a singer/songwriter that frequently played at the Yellowstone County Fair and fiesta. She sang the National Anthem at several sporting events, the most memorable was the Indian National Finals Rodeo in 2001. “Wish I could see the angels faces when they hear your sweet voice sing” the voice of an angel that many of us were blessed to hear, now youre singing with the angels, Momma. Leah is survived by her children and grandchildren, her parents, her older brother Craig (Deanna) Boyer, his children Craig Ron and Chelsy Patrice Zelda, her younger brother Kenneth Melvin Wayne Boyer and his children, Angelica Cedra Raylee, Vanessa Jean, Savannah Barbara, and Rieal Aloysius, her very close cousin “brother” Bruce James Grant, her “sis” Suzi and her crazy nieces Brittany (Jazmyn Jenae) and Brueshana “Lil Bobo”. Also leaving behind numerous family and friends that loved and adored her, and will always be blessed to have known her. Youre with your Grandma Zelda now momma, were always going to miss you but know one day we will meet again. We love you forever, our guardian angel. Cemetery: Interment will be in the Wagner, SD cemetery. Service: Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.

Boyer family, Leah was the best! Been thinking about the fun times when she stayed with us in Ashland. " One night she says hey Kim lets see who can eat the most hot banana peppers and of course there we went and you all only know who won and it was her she ate 3 jars, there was really no chance for me against her". My prayers are sent to all of you at this time, and she will forever be in my hear.

I knew Leah when she worked at Exxon Refinery she would stop in and visit me at the security guard's main gate. She knew my son when he was little and wanted to hold him. Then the last time I saw her was at the MT Fair a few years ago she was with her children and she saw my son and he was 12 yrs old then and she asked "Could I give him a hug?" She did and we all visited talked about when she first met us, talked about her good job at CHS and that she really liked the refinery work, we parted with smiles on our faces, our son not remembering her from before, but now having a friend and myself meeting up with a friend that always makes you smile. Good bye Friend!
