Obituary
Alisha Michelle Tuss was born Sunday, October 18, 1981 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Shari and Kent Florence. Alisha gallantly and fearlessly fought Neuroblastoma for 15 years. She passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 surrounded by her family and the caring staff at Riverstone Hospice House. Shari, Kent and Alisha moved to Colorado Springs the summer of 1988 when she was 6 years old. Alisha graduated from Air Academy High in 2000 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2003. Alisha went to work for the Department of Justice in 2004 and moved to Billings in 2005 with the Denver Division of DEA. Alisha was a collector: She had an extensive collection of Golden Girls and I love Lucy Memorabilia, and of course purses and shoes which we are so happy Sophie is sharing. Alisha was just learning baseball as Ryder has started to play; this was a challenge being the (non) sports enthusiast she was. She is survived by her husband Dustin Tuss, her children Sophia 12 and Ryder who is 9, parents, sister Cami Middleton and nephews Josh Florence, Brock and Drake Middleton, niece Tatum Middleton and Uncle Jerry Rhodes and Aunt Joan Squire and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tad Florence and grandparents Bert and Everett Rhodes, Faun and Roy Florence and her Aunt Colleen, and Uncles Blain, Gary and Farrell Florence and her Uncle Tom Rhodes. The family would like to thank all of you who traveled from out of town to honor Alisha, and we would like to especially thank Diane Jones for her unwavering and loving care of Alisha all these many years.

I had the pleasure of knowing, and working with Alisha on several occasions during the past ten years. Alisha was a determined investigator who was always willing to go the extra mile in investigating criminal activity. She would lend assistance to other investigators without being asked, helping in anyway she could. She was not only a great co-worker but a true friend. RIP

I am so sadden to hear this news, Alisha was a best friend to me. The one time I flew up to Billings to stay and help her out when Ryder was born. My heart is broken. Some of the most fun we had is when she was still in HIGH School working at the Sun Solution tanning salon I bought from Sherri. She was full life an such a hard worker. Always willing to go out of her way for all of us. It was a pleasure to have watched her grow from a top notch High student, then on to college, then her dream to follow in her Fathers foot steps to become a DEA agent. I will miss her and our phone calls and her quick trips to Colorado Springs when she had meeting to go to. She always made sure we has lunch together, weather here or in Castle Rock. Sending much love and prayers to all the family. love you always Alisha. Susie Putnam

Alisha you will never be forgotten my friend. We shared so many grear memories working together. Just the other day Jeff Boshek and I were talking and remembering you and all the good times and bad times we shared working in the Colorado Springs office. Not only were you my co worker you were my friend. I entrusted you to watch my son Eric. We shared a lot if laughs together, you were my shoulder to lean on, to cry on, you were there for me through some difficult times. I can only hope that I was as good a friend to you as you were to me. May you rest in peace. Forever in my heart.

I was a friend of Alisha’s at Eagleview Middle School. While I haven’t seen her in many years, I vividly remember her bold, fun, and intelligent personality. My heart goes out to her family. Alisha was a bright light, and I’m saddened to hear of her passing. Love & Light, Erin (Maloney) Bodien
