Christopher Evans

Christopher David Evans was born August 20, 1976 in St. Louis Park, MN and passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2020. He was 43 years old. Chris is remembered for being a loving husband to his wife, Sarah; devoted father to his children, Redel and Baylee; caring son to his parents, Mike and JoAnne; and affectionate brother to his siblings, Patrick and Leslie. Chris was also a dedicated coworker and colleague to many and a friend to many more. Chris is preceded in death by his fraternal and paternal grandparents. After graduating from MSU Bozeman in 1999, with a degree in business management and justice studies, Chris began a prestigious career as a probation officer in Bozeman in the Gallatin County Treatment Court. While in Bozeman, he was honored as the Probation and Parole Officer of the year in 2007. In 2008, Chris was promoted and transferred to Billings. From July 2010-April 2015 he served on the U.S. Marshals Service Montana Violent Offender Task Force. In 2016, he was promoted to Deputy Chief. Chris was also the lead taser instructor, firearms instructor, and taught tactical medical for the Department of Corrections. Chris had an immense passion for anything tactical. He loved guns, knives, shooting, and all the accessories that go with it. He enjoyed football (Tampa Bay Bucs) and especially playing fantasy football. Chris was proud of the fact that he was a member of the Kansas City BBQ Society and enjoyed cooking and tasting meat. I don't think there was a movie Chris hasn't seen! He loved going to the theater and he loved classic television. He was also a cigar aficionado and had very diverse collection.
