Kathleen Walton

Kathleen Ann (Manion) Walton passed away on March 2, 2020, from complications from Parkinson's Disease. She was surrounded by many people who loved and cared about her. Kathie was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, to John and Catherine Manion on June 6, 1939. She grew up in Sterling, Illinois, with her brothers John & Mike Manion. She graduated from Newman Catholic High School in 1957. She married Lawrence Walton in Sterling, Illinois, in 1960. Together, they raised 3 children, Steve, Mike and Margo. The family moved to Billings, Montana, in 1971. Kathie was a strong, kind and funny woman. She loved her time in Billings. She was a strong supporter of all of her kids' activities, loved her garden, was active in Billings Junior League, Hilands Golf Club, and Foster Grandparents. She was never afraid of a new adventure. She was a preschool teacher, office manager for the M.A.T.E. Show, and General Manager at the Rimrock Inn. She enjoyed all of the friendships she made during her career. Kathie loved her family above all. She never missed an opportunity to brag about her children and grandchildren. They were her motivation to stay healthy even when “Mr. Parkinson's” was unkind to her. She is survived by her husband, Reid Hagen, her sons, Steve (Andrea) Walton and Mike (Lori Joseph) Walton, daughter, Margo (Travis) Adolph, stepson Mark (Beverly) Hagen, stepdaughter, Bernadette (Craig) Steffan, grandchildren, Ben (Bethany) Walton, Hayley Walton, Jake (Carolina) Joseph-David, Kenna Adolph, Alex Adolph, Ryan Adolph, Lindsay (Aseem) Desai, Sean Hagen, Megan Hagen, Kelsey (Ben) Langford, Callie Steffan, and one great grandchild, Ollie Desai. She is preceded in death by her parents Catherine and John Manion, and her first husband, Lawrence Walton. Kathie will be missed immensely by her family and friends. She fought the good fight against Parkinson's, and we are comforted in knowing that she is free. As Kathie would put it, “God knows she tried,” and she truly did. Due To The Concerns of The Coronavirus The Funeral Services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Michael J.
