Clayton Wayne Falls Down, 62, of Billings, MT passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 7, 2020 after a sudden illness at St. Vincents Hospital in Billings, MT. Clayton was born May 6, 1957 to Delphine Backbone (Walter Onion) and Robert Falls Down, Sr. at Crow Agency, MT. Clayton attended school in Wyola and Lodge Grass before attaining his GED. Clayton attended Eastern Montana College for several years. Clayton married Rebecca Plain Feather in August of 1975 and together made their home in Wyola, Crow Agency, and Lodge Grass, MT and later moved to Billings, MT. Clayton worked at various companies over the years, mainly the Crow Tribe and was later forced to retire due to medical reasons. Clayton was well-known for his arrow throwing abilities for the Lodge Grass District, winning the high point man award many times, both for the Jr and Sr Arrow Throw tournaments. Clayton was also well-known for his arrow making abilities. Clayton also partook in the yearly Jr and Sr Handgame tournament and on many occasions winning Best Guesser award. During Clayton's younger years, he loved to ride horses and he had an Indian Relay team. Furthermore, Clayton enjoyed hunting with his brothers and cousins. Clayton was an avid basketball fan for the Lodge Grass Indians and Plenty Coups Warriors. Clayton was preceded in death by his son Dana Michael; daughter Lavonna Elette and Roberta Falls Down; grandson Josiah Jr.; his parents Robert Falls Down, Delphine Backbone, Walter Onion; brothers Robert Jr., Ronald Falls Down Sr., and sister Ruth Falls Down Bell Rock. Clayton is survived by his wife Rebecca, his sons, Andrew (Maria), Joshua (Jeanette), Josiah (Ann), Clifton (Val) Falls Down; daughter Renessa; and two grandsons he raised as his own, Michael (Sylvia) and Kayden; adopted sons, Anthony Foote and Nathan Matthews. Grandsons: Cyril, Alfonso, Andrew Jr., George, Channing, Lansing; granddaughters: Cyrena, Laurena, Roberta, Khloe, Aubreigh, Clayrissa, Josie, Aalyina, and Adailynn, brothers: Marvin Falls Down Sr., William (Pamela) Backbone Jr., Gary Gardner and Harold (Debbie) Backbone Jr.; sisters: Jennifer (James) Medicine Horse, Joselyn (Clarence) Three Irons, Clara Buck Elk, Francis, Lauri, and Imogene Alden, Anita (Dana) Old Coyote, and Sharolyn (Chester) Nomee Sr. Extended families: Falls Down, Backbone, Left Hand, Birdinground, Alden, Three Irons, Old Elk, Not Afraid, Other Medicine, and Bear Below. Clayton was ecstatic when he was able to make two trips to New York to witness the running of the Triple Crown in 2014 to watch California Chrome and in 2015 to watch American Pharoah win the Triple Crown. Final resting place is in Bull Shows section in Pryor cemetery, Pryor, MT.

I loved it when grandpa was here I miss it wish I could throw arrows with you one last time you where the best grandpa I could ever ask for you rased me well I live you grandpa I work hard for you every day and I wanna do great just like how he did.

man I have some much memories with u grandpa man I miss u but I remember when he was showing me how to make arrows it was fun watching him all ways made me smile even if everyone was fighting in the house it was the best man only father figure I grew up around
