Obituary
Fromberg- Evelyn Lucille Bauwens passed away peacefully on April 22, 2020 from complications of lung cancer. She was 82. Evelyn was born on January 10th, 1938 to Alex and Frances (Koch) Frank. She was the 5th of 9 children Donnie, John, Marian (Starnes), Jose (Strever), Roy, Rita (Kroll), Norman, and Connie (Reiter). After graduating from Laurel High School in Montana in 1956 she married Albert Carl Bauwens. Together they raised 6 children, Alan, Scott, Julie, Kim, Randy, and Shawn on the family farm in Fromberg. Evelyn enjoyed caring for her family, cooking for the hired hands, and helping on the farm when she could. She was very active in the community and church. Always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. After her husband passed away in 1984, Evelyn then worked at numerous jobs such as being a cook, a bartender, and a waitress. She also got her CNA license and helped care for elderly in their homes. Evelyn loved to crochet, paint, and putter in her garden. However, her true passion was her family. Anytime she could get them together, she was the happiest. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, her sons Alan and Shawn, granddaughter Melissa Ann Jones, sister Josie, and brother Donnie. She is survived by her children Scott (Deb) Bauwens, Julie (Mike) Jones, Kim (Ede) Bauwens, and Randy (Megan) Bauwens, brothers John, Roy, and Norman, sisters Marian, Rita, and Connie. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Laura (Alan), Janice, Kristin, and Marcie (Scott), Walt, Kandee, Carl, and Lindsey (Julie), Trent (Kim), and Tyson (Randy) and 10 great grandchildren. She is loved by so many and will be missed dearly. May you walk arm and arm with Jesus and hold hands with our Father and our brothers. It hurts that you have passed on but the memory of your thoughtfulness and motherly love will be in our hearts forever. There will be a private viewing and internment for immediate family only. Memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fromberg.

Evie was a beautiful person whose love for God was only surpassed by her love of family. She was a wonderful member of our catholic church. Jeannie and I also have fond memories of her involvement in the Cursillo. If anyone needed help with anything, she was the lady who could get it done or knew someone else who could. She will be missed, but there is no doubt in our mind that she is indeed in her true home with our Lord. Love and prayers go out to all of her family. Jeannie and Jerry Scott

She loved the Lord, family and friends and will be dearly missed. We had lots of fun visiting and playing cards at the Senior Center.
