Charles Craig

Charles “Buck” Carlyle Craig passed away on June 13, 2020 in Red Lodge, MT. He was born to parents Richard and Lela Craig on September 13, 1942 in Albany, Missouri. He was born with Cerebral Palsy and went to school for a little while where he learned to read and write his name. Later his family moved to Des Moine, Iowa and then in 1967 they made the move to Montana after visiting family. Charles and his family built their own home in Bearcreek, MT where Buck currently resided. It took them about 10 years to complete the home. Charles worked for Beartooth Industries out of Red Lodge, Montana for 30 years where he retired a few years ago. He cut much of the wood that they used for the benches that you will see placed all over Red Lodge. He loved working with his hands and any kind of tools. Charles had a great smile, was honest and outgoing. He loved to visit with everyone. He never forgot a face, even if he was just introduced to you. Charles was his own man. He loved western music, clothing and movies. He didn't even want to watch a movie if it was not a western. Charles liked to fish occasionally. He didn't go anywhere without his cowboy hat on. Charles was fortunate to live a long and good life on his own with Cerebral Palsy. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 pm on June 22, 2020 at the Beartooth Mountain Baptist Church, Red Lodge, MT.
