Elma Reed

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Elma Lena Greybull Reed, 81, was born on May 28, 1939 in Lodge Grass, MT on the Crow Indian Reservation. Her Lord called her to be home on July 25, 2020 in the peacefulness of her own home surrounded by her loved ones. Elma was born to Peter Greybull, Sr. and Nora Passes. She was a descendant of Chief Sits in the Middle of the Land and Chief Greybull. Elma attended school until the 11th grade. Afterwards she continued her own education in various jobs where she was required certifications such as: cooking for a school on the Crow Indian Reservation and also working in an Alcoholism Detoxification center. Born to Elma are her children: Georgina Denny, Joy (Mike) Yellowmule, Donna (Roger, Jr.) St. Pierre, Jason (Elaine) Denny, Todd (Verna) Denny, and Jennifer Greybull. Elma lived over the last 30 years in Billings, Montana where she was devoted to her faith in the Lord and taking care of her home. She spent her time praying for her family, reading her Bible, taking care of her immaculate yard, and caring for various grandchildren over the years. Elma's faith, prayer, and love stretched far and wide for all of her children and grandchildren and family members. Elma is survived by: her siblings, Peter Jr. (Marella) Greybull and Beverly (Dennis) Greybull Huber; her children; over 20 grandchildren; over 30 great-grandchildren; various nieces; various nephews; and many individuals that she considered her adopted grandchildren. She lived by faith that everything will always work out and be okay and wished for her family to always remember that message and her love for all of them. Elma will be buried next to her husband Frank at 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2020 in the Fairview Cemetery in Hardin.
