My cherished friendship with Sharon began when we met in 7th grade while attending Sunday school at the Helena Presbyterian Church. We discovered we lived only an alley length away from each other and our family dynamics were the same; both the youngest of three siblings with at least ten years difference from each of our older brother and sister. The alley proved to be the main artery to ride our bikes to each other's home. During our Junior High days, her basement provided us the space to practice our tumbling and dance endeavors, as well as an unorganized Elvis Fan Club. Summer days were spent riding our bikes or walking to the Parrot for a cherry coke with frequent stops at the record shop where we would sit in a booth to hear our favorite music. Sharon had the record player and an extensive collection of 48's! High school brought many more "Happy Days" memories (dances, twirling, tournaments and lake gatherings) for us to share. I recall her sophomore year many senior boys were in awe of her but it was Lee who won her heart! We chose competing colleges when she went to Bozeman and I to Missoula but we always kept our friendship current. One of my favorite memories was spring break our senior year when she borrowed her parents blue Buick to drive six of us future teachers/nurses to California for job interviews from San Francisco to Los Angeles! As young teachers, Sharon taught in Las Vegas while I went to California and through our chosen careers, marriages and children, we kept close. From when I met her in 7th grade until the present, Sharon was always a shining star. Now, she will join her Lee and together they will form their own constellation of brightness. I miss you and love you, dear friend. Emme

Sharon was my mom's best friend since they grew up together in Helena, MT. I was told stories of their fun and carefree friendship. I always appreciated her generosity, kindness and warm hospitality on the occasions when I visited her home - as a child and as an older woman. Her graciousness and grace always impressed me. She will be missed by many but remembered always. Thank you for your awesome life, Sharon. Love to you and your family.

Sharon and Lee were our treasured neighbors on Harris Street in Helena. They will always be like family to the Maddio crew. Sharon always had a smile and kind words to share with all who encountered her. Many summer days were spent in the shared sandbox and playing basketball on their driveway. Sharon and Lee always welcomed us with generous hearts. I send my love to Derek, Buddy, and Dacia. Your mother was most definitely one of the “ GREAT ONES”. Love, Colette Maddio Strizich

Memories flooded my mind when I saw the notice of Sharon's passing. She was one of the most gracious, kind and loving person. She brightened our office working with Jane and then just being such a wonderful friend. We often talked of getting together for dinner but the busy schedules for Lee or Jane tended to get in the way. I miss those opportunities! Sharon loved her families and was so proud telling us about the latest accomplishments. I will miss her with you!
