Rose O'Bleness

Mom was born March 6, 1936, in Parma, Idaho, and fell asleep in death on August 24, 2020. She married Dad on December 13, 1952. Together they lived in Polson, Montana, and then Hayden Lake, Idaho, before moving to Billings in 1974. Mom was known for many outstanding qualities—loving kindness, hospitality, generosity, and HUGS. She was a great homemaker, kept an impeccably clean house, welcomed others, maintained beautiful flowers and gardens, loved babies, and was quick to provide food for the new neighbor, the family with a loss, or just because you stopped by. Her sister Barbara once addressed a letter to her that began, “My dearest Rose, the sweetest flower that ever grows.” Anyone who ever met her would agree. But her legacy is her love for our Creator and his Word, the Bible. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she would comfort others that Jesus likened death to “sleeping” (John 11:11; Eccl. 9:5,10) and there will be a time when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. Many have a hope of going to heaven, but mom expressed her hope of a future on the earth (Psa. 37:10,11) when all of God's promises for everyone are fulfilled (Rev. 21:3,4). She is survived by her husband Andrew Sr. of 67 years and 8 months; sons Andrew Jr. (Karen), Paul (Debra), Philip (Denise), Matthew (Laura); daughter Sarah (Chris) Cobetto; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She survived all of her own immediate family, and was predeceased by infant son Timothy, daughter Deborah, and grandsons Chuck Jr., Stewart and Daniel. Dad and our family wish to express sincerest thankfulness for the Gallagher Family and their Amazing Team for their commitment to keeping mom with dad until the very end. They have all been an answer to our prayers. A memorial service via Zoom is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 11:00 a.m.
