Thomas Fischer

Thomas Fischer, 90, of Billings, Montana passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Tom was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on April 25, 1930 to Carl and Elizabeth Fischer. He grew up in Bismarck with his six brothers and two sisters. He attended St. Mary's Catholic High School where he played both basketball and football. After graduation he served an apprenticeship with the bricklayers union. He met and married Eileen Hoffman, his wife of 36 years. Together they raised five children. Eileen passed away on April 27, 1988. In 1967 he began a career with Ideal Cement Company and was transferred to Billings for his new career. In 1991, he met and married Dee Mercer. Tom retired the following year. Together they enjoyed traveling, playing golf and family visits. He is survived by his wife Dee, his daughters Kathy (Bob) Papin, Diane (Jeff) Omvig, stepdaughter Donna Rae (Robbyn) Alexander and three sons Blaine (Vicki) Fischer, Doug Fischer and Todd (Fran) Fischer. A Memorial service will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com.
