Clinton Good Luck

“For God so Loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Clinton Wayne Good Luck went home to be with the Lord on September 4th, 2020. He was born on October 3rd, 1957 to Louis “Tex” and Alice (Iron) Good Luck Sr. in Toppenish, Washington. He was named by his aunts Josephine Crooked Arm, Rose Helen & Junetta Hunts Arrow. He was a member of the Ties the Bundle clan and a child of the Piegan clan. His Indian Name was Baawatbagale Chiish “Carries the Cross,” given to him by his clan father, John Bull In Sight, Sr. He married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart, Carol Edwina Whiteman in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1984. From this union, they were blessed with four children, Robyn, Gary Joel, Raven and Roslyn. Clinton graduated from Lodge Grass High School in 1975. He later attended Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT. graduating with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting in 1988. He was employed by the Apsaalooke Mine a welder, Bureau of Indian Affairs as an accountant and the Indian Health Service, serving as the Property Management Officer. He was medically retired in 2016 after 29 years of civil service. He grew up in a Pentecostal home, and later decided to become a member of the Catholic faith. He was baptized in 1986 at the St. Charles Catholic church by the late Rev. Charles Robinson along with his late brother-in-law, James Bell Rock, Sr. His Godparents were the late Calvin & Julia Round Face. Her served on the school board for the Pryor School District, serving as Board Chairman for 2 terms. His lifelong passion was team roping with his brother Louie, brother-in-law Channis Whiteman and friend Dan Gun Shows. They were members of NPIRA and USTRC where they would travel from state to state winning championships and saddles. While in high school he participated in football and basketball, being an all-conference basketball player. He played on the Independent basketball team, St. Charles of Pryor where he earned several all-star trophies. During his younger years, he helped on his parent's ranch in Wyola - baling hay, rounding up cattle, and feeding livestock in the winter time. After his retirement, he was involved in ministry, he brought the word of God to the Awe'kua'alawaache Nursing Home residents in Crow Agency, MT. Most recently he attended the House of Hope Church in Hardin, MT. Clinton is predeceased by his parents, grandparents Edward and Angela (Brass) Iron, Matthew Good Luck, Ruth “Mussette” Bright Wings, and Maggie Brass; Aunt Amy Red Star, Martha Dust, Leona Morning, Iris Three Irons, Stella Whiteman; Uncle's, Wallace, Ted, & Frank Iron; sisters Aneda Hill, Andrea Good Luck; brothers Gary & Johnny Good Luck; adopted brother Jude Old Crow; niece Lona Lee Fritzler. He is survived by his wife Carol; children Robyn (Vance) Crooked Arm, Gary Joel, Raven and Roslyn “Fozzy” Good Luck, his nephew Kolan Good Luck whom he helped raise and Posey Whiteman III whom he mentored growing up. Grandchildren Chezney, Brody Tobyn, Lovae, and Valeena. Sisters Joyce Good Luck, Lavonne Spotted Horse, Angela (Hartford) Bear Claw, Verly (Gabe) Morgan, Missy (Randy) Falls Down. Brothers Louis (Alda) Good Luck Jr., Ruben & Seth Spotted Horse, and Darren & Alvin (Casaja) Fritzler; great grandchildren Amaris, Zainen & Kalan. Adopted brothers he grew up with Newton Old Crow, Jr., Bernard “Buzzy” &Terrence Covers Up. His god-children, Jaren Whiteman & Trisheena Kills Pretty Enemy. His first cousins from the Iron, Three Irons, Goes Ahead, Good Luck, Julia Black Eagle family, Bright Wings and Bad Horse-Covers Up families that he took as his siblings He is survived by his extended family including the Iron, Brass, Otter Stays in the Water, Star-Black Hawk, Yellowmule, Leider, Walks Over Ice, Spotted, Red Wolf, Hunts the Arrow, Good Luck, Bad Horse-Covers Up, Little Owl, Bull Weasel and Bright Wings families. We apologize if we have forgotten anyone in our time of grief. The family would like to thank his doctors, nurse Handmaa Purevdorj and the medical staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and the Johnson family in Phoenix, AZ. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11:00 am. Dahl Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
