Grandma Connie made so many visits to Olympia and always appreciated the giant rhododendrons in bloom around my birthday. It makes me so happy to have her name as my middle name, and I am so proud of any similarities that we share including a great love of books and reading. Books she gifted to me are all around my current home in D.C. and they remind me of her intelligence, bravery, kind heart, and open mind.

Aunt Connie was so much fun to be around! There was always a lively conversation. She never missed sending me a Christmas card! She always talked about how I was the first grandchild of the McKeever family, and that once I had fallen out of my high chair and landed on my head, so I had an excuse for any mistake!!Even in later years, we would meet Connie at musical events, such as the Billings Blues Festival held at the Mission Ridge location. Connie and Dick and some of their friends had even come and stayed with us for the Helena Jazz Festival. The McKeever girls were all great dancers! It's truly the end of an era. She is now with Dick and her sisters, again. Kathy (Whittle) Dreyer

You have captured the essence of Connie so well. She was all that and more. I too am a member of League of Women Voters and she has been an inspiration for me. Carole Jones

Here is a copy of a letter I sent to Residential Support Services To Residential Support Services. This donation is to honor Connie Rasky for her years of helping keep community services for disabled people available and meaningful. I also extend that honor to her husband Dick and to their 7 adult children, spouses, and grandchidren. I was hired by the state of Montana in 1975 to organize community services for developmentally disabled people. The Rasky family, and others, many as members of the Yellowstone Association of Retarded Citizens, stepped forward to form a group of non profit organizations, serve on boards and advisory councils, make policy decisions, fill in where ever needed. Residential Support Services is a very successful result of those efforts. As you probably know, daughter Karen lived in a group home in the Heights for many years. Connie and her family continued their involvement, encouraging caretakers, offering ideas and time so Karen had a safe and secure home. And constantly lobbying for adequate funding to keep the programs open. My best wishes to you for the future Jean Neyrinck 2400 Durston RD #59 Bozeman, MT 59718 406 219 3792

My mom, Mary Albrecht, was good friends with Connie and it was through this connection I met Connie. She was so much fun to talk with - extremely intelligent, funny, and completely committed to liberal causes. Her dedication to her children was extraordinary. My mom died 4 days before Connie and I have no doubt they are working together to effect change where it is needed.
