Cathie Dobson

Cathie Rae Dobson passed away on Thursday, September 10th at the age of 61. Cathie was born on November 25, 1958 to father Marvin Jesse and raised by her stepmother Cheryl Semingson Jesse in Glendive, Montana. She graduated from Dawson County High School in 1977 and then attended Dawson Community College. Cathie left Glendive in 1979 to pursue a career in banking in Denver, Colorado. Cathie's careers led her to many different states, living and working in Denver, Colorado, San Francisco, California and Phoenix, Arizona but Montana was always home. Cathie moved back to Billings, Montana in 2008 where she married her high school boyfriend, Harold Dobson, on November 5, 2009. Cathie enjoyed spending time with her husband, their two dogs, Sam and Mike, and her stepchildren and grandchildren. Cathie had a fondness for animals and could often be found with her two dogs or feeding the birds and squirrels that would frequent the front yard looking for bird seed and peanuts she would leave out for them. Cathie is remembered as a strong woman with an independent spirit who preferred to do things on her own and who fought and survived cancer twice in her life. She was a kind and amazing woman who was loved by all and who was always willing to help anyone. She will be exceptionally missed by her family, friends and anyone who knew her. Cathie was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Jesse. She is survived by her husband Harold Dobson, her mother Cheryl Semingson Jesse of Utah, her sister Cindy Brown of Utah, her cousins Tara Green of Arizona, Deanna Ortiz of Arizona, Sharon Shipley of California, Ray Semingson and his wife LaRae Semingson of Glendive Montana, her uncles Bruce Semingson of Arizona and Doug Semingson of Arizona, her stepchildren Ashley Dobson, Lesley Fansher and Cory Dobson, her grandchildren Anna Fansher and Colton Fansher. No services will be held at this time.
