Randall Leifert

Randall Dean Leifert, age 60, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 in a vehicle accident on his way back from a hunting trip. He was born August 22, 1960 in Moorehead, MN the son of Donald and Mary Leifert. He graduated from Billings West High School in 1978. After graduation he worked for Sears, Midas, and eventually found his profession as an equipment operator at Rocky Mountain Contractors and PAR. He loved what he did, and one of his favorite memories was riding in a helicopter for work. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, boating and the outdoors. Randy and Linda were part of a snowmobile club and frequently went to Cooke City with their friends to go snowmobiling. Randy married his high school sweetheart Linda, and they had been together 30 years. In 2000 they added the most wonderful thing in their lives, daughter Jaime. Jaime and Randy were as close as could be, clinging to each other when Linda passed away in 2009. Randy was so proud of his daughter and was happy to see her start cosmetology school at Rituals Institute. Survivors include daughter, Jaime Leifert; mother, Mary Leifert; brothers Dick and Dave Leifert, sister-in-law Maryann Gillen of California, sister-in-law Nancy (Larry) Aalgaard, brother-in-law Bud (Debbi) Barth, sister-in-law Peggy Schock, sister-in-law Carol (Paul) Fasching and sister-in-law Lisa (Rich) Wood, all of Billings; mother-in-law, Dorothy Barth; friends Steve “Chip” Voltz, Wayne Becker, Gordon Anderson, and several nieces and nephews and many more loving friends. Randy was preceded in death by his father Don Leifert; father-in-law Harold Barth, and brother Ron Leifert. Randy's celebration on life will happen at a later date.
