Obituary
William Carson Cortright passed away on the evening of December 20, 2020 as a result of his injuries received in an automobile accident in Pryor, MT. William was 49 years old.
William was born in Billings, MT in Yellowstone County on March 13, 1971. He was the third child of Ellajean Sun Goes Slow, and the third child of William Cortright. William was a member of the Whistling Water Clan and child of the Bad War Deeds Clan.
William always provided a helping hand as a skilled handyman. He was engaged to be married to Bianca Lisa Oldbull. William graduated from St. Charles Missionary School in 1989. He enjoyed the company of his fiance, and family and always proudly talked about his children Eric, Alahna, Caleb and Brandon Lee.
William is survived by his daughter Alahna Roland, and two sons, Caleb Cortright and Brandon Lee Cortright. His brother's Charles “Chuckie” Lance and Justin Cortright. His aunties Eloise Leahy, Melvina Prince, Lena Prince, Tammy Briese. His sisters Randine Crego, Gaye McNeil, Carmen Balden, Adriene Loveridge, Nicole Leahy, Lena Rides Horse, Nicky McKlusky, Latoya McKlusky, Clarina Johnson, Rita Bellrock, Jennifer Old Bull, Karina Bellrock, Anna Bellrock, Lana Little Eagle, Tammy Little Light, Misty Little Light. Her brothers James K. Bellrock, Johnny Lou McKlusky, R.J. McKlusky, Ethan Johnson, Ooqualie Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Edwin Tsosie, Verson Tsosie, Roman Bellrock. Her uncles Carson Bellrock, Willie Brown, Linwood Prince.
William was preceded in death by his son Eric Ludwing. His Grandmother Clara Bellrock, Grandfather Kenneth Sun Goes Slow. His mother Ellajean “Toni” Sun Goes Slow Cortright. His sister Mildred Cortright. His brothers Leonard Dooley, William Cortright and Sidney Little Eagle. His Uncle James “Sonny” Bellrock. His brother Dione Bellrock. His sister Lisa Bellrock. William is a descendant of Chief Bellrock, Chief Pretty Eagle and Chief Bull Tongue.

Visitation will be at Dahl's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday, December 24, 2020 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Due to state and local regulations, only 25 people may be inside of Dahl Funeral Chapel at a time for the visitations.
Graveside services will be Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 11:00 am at Pryor Cemetery.
