Ellagene Plainbull

On the evening of December 20, 2020, Ellagene “Sister” Lance Plainbull passed away as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident in Pryor, MT. Sister was born in Billings, MT in Yellowstone County on July 19, 1977. She was the fifth child of Ellajean Sun Goes Slow Cortright, and the first child of Charles Lance. Sister was a member of the Bad War Deeds Clan and child of Ties in a Bundle Clan. Sister was a huge part of our community. Her absolute strength and loyalty to those she loved and respected were a cornerstone of her character. Her humour was infectious; the sound of her laughter alone was enough to draw family near. However, the most important portion of Sister's life was her two sons, Jasper “Sonny” Plainbull and Jerry “Buster” Plainbull, Jr. She reveled in taking her boys into the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. She was always proud of each one of her boys' achievements. Sister is survived by her two sons Jasper “Sonny” Plainbull and Jerry “Buster” Plainbull, Jr. Her brother's Charles “Chuckie” Lance and Justin Cortright. Her adopted mother Emma Core. Her aunties Eloise Leahy, Melvina Prince, Lena Prince, Tammy Briese. Her sisters Randine Crego, Gaye McNeil, Carmen Balden, Adriene Loveridge, Nicole Leahy, Lena Rides Horse, Nicky McClusky, Latoya Johnson, Clarina Johnson, Rita Bellrock, Jennifer Old Bull, Karina Bellrock, Anna Bellrock, Lana Little Eagle, Tammy Little Light, Misty Little Light. Her brothers James K. Bellrock, Nicholas St. Kopcynski,Johnny Lou McKlusky, R.J. McKlusky, Ethan Johnson, Ooqualie Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Edwin Tsosie, Verson Tsosie, Roman Bellrock. Her uncles Carson Bellrock, Willie Brown, Linwood Prince. And, loved one and beloved friend, Katrina McKeen. Sister was preceded in death by her Grandmother Clara Bellrock, Grandfather Kenneth Sun Goes Slow. Her mother Ellajean “Toni” Sun Goes Slow Cortright.Her adopted father Frank Core. Her sister Mildred Cortright. Her brothers Leonard Dooley, William Cortright and Sidney Little Eagle. Her Uncle James “Sonny” Bellrock. Her brother Dione Bellrock. Her sister Lisa Bellrock. Sister is a descendant of Chief Bellrock, Chief Pretty Eagle and Chief Bull Tongue. We regret that we have not specifically listed all of our large extended family and ask that you bear with us during this time of loss. Visitation will be at Dahl's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday, December 24, 2020 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Due to state and local regulations, only 25 people may be inside Dahl Funeral Chapel at a time for the visitations. Graveside services will be Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 11:00 am at Pryor Cemetery Reception to follow and TBD.
