Nathel Show

NATHEL KITTYBELL FISHER SHOW (Mo'oheme'ehn'e - Elk Appears Woman) was born on May 6, 1938 to Gladys Beartusk Fisher Whiteman and Langburn (Happy) Fisher. Nathel's early years were spent on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. She attended school in Lame Deer, Busby, and Colstrip. She continued her education by attending the Practical Nursing School in Billings, Montana and Eastern Montana College. She worked in hospitals in California and worked for ten years at the Billings Deaconess Hospital. She served for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 28 years. After retirement, she also worked for Upper Mohawk, Inc. doing contract work for the Office of Historical Trust Accounts. She was married to Jacob TallBull, Sr. from January 1954 to January 1969. From this marriage, she was blessed with seven children. Her second marriage with Richard James Show, from May 1969 to October 1988, blessed her with a daughter. She had 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren – and she loved them all very much. Throughout her lifetime, she traveled all across the United States and developed numerous deep and long-lasting friendships with people near and far. Many of us can look around our home and find something she either made or gifted to us. She will be greatly missed by all. Nathel enjoyed sewing, crafting, and handmaking gifts for her family and friends. She loved to support her grandchildren as they participated in various activities, sports, and rodeo. She was known to be a feisty cowgirl who loved watching RidePass and listening to country music. There will be an empty chair waiting for her in the audience of her favorite show, The Price is Right, and every day at one o'clock you could find her watching The Days of Our Lives. Once she figured out how to use social media, she used it regularly to check up on her relatives and keep track of their daily lives. She is blessed with a large family who live all across the country. She never missed was a beautiful lady who always had a smile for everyone she encountered. Nathel is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Langburn, her sisters, Erma Fisher and Juanita Fisher, and her granddaughter Kaylanna Otissey Gonzalez. Nathel is survived by her siblings, Eugene (Anna) Fisher and Edie Adams, as well as her children Jacob TallBull, Jonita (Troy) Harris, Rodney (Debbie) TallBull, Gladys (Elmore) Limberhand III, Dana TallBull, Michele TallBull, Nadine TallBull, and Jodi (Greg) Louis. Nathel's relatives are descendants of Chiefs Littlewolf and Dullknife and include the following families: Fisher, Eastman, Freeman, Robinson, Beartusk, Bearquiver, Lafranier, Brien, Parker, Storm, Bixby, Livingston, Whitewolf, Sherman, Alderman, Pittman, Hamilton, WalksAlong, and many more. Our family is large, her friends were numerous, and we apologize if we forgot anyone or did not mention you by name. We send our heartfelt gratitude to the Billings Clinic healthcare staff who took good care of our sister, mom, cousin, auntie, grandma, and friend.
