Obituary
Scott was born October 6, 1955, to Edwin & Joyce Stewart in Billings, Montana. He attended schools in Billings and graduated from Billings Senior High, Class of '74. He was a trainer for the Senior High Football team. He played Little Guy Football at Gorham Park with his little brother, Carter. He loved to play basketball at the YMCA and golfing with his family. He loved the water; he traveled to Florida many summers with his family, including the Florida Keys where he learned to scuba dive. He loved attending hockey games to watch the Billings Blazers at the Metra. Scott never missed out on a new fad, he was always ahead of his time. Scott worked for Taco Bell and Evergreen IGA before going to work for Options in 2008, where he retired in December. Scott loved people. He never forgot a name or anyone he ever met. His memory was uncanny. He was a bonafide mischief-maker. The very thing he was asked NOT to do, was always the first thing he did. Once the action was discovered, he would laugh so uncontrollably in confrontation that it was impossible for anyone to stay mad. His favorite actor was Wally Kurth of Days of Our Lives. He tuned in daily. A highlight for him was while working at Taco Bell, he bragged to his coworkers that he was friends with Wally. No one believed him until one day Wally walked into the restaurant and said “Hey Scott, I came by to see ya.” After living in the Bay Area for two years, Scott became a 49er fanatic. He had all the gear and loved placing bets with his brother. Following his stroke in 2007, Scott lived in the Granger Group Home for the last 13 years of his life. Scott had many medical conditions, but always kept a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He never let any amount of adversity get him down. A phone call from Scott would always brighten your day and often leave you laughing hysterically. Scott was preceded in death by his father Percy Edwin Stewart Jr and his brother Mark Stewart. He is survived by his mother Joyce, brother Carter & his mate Cass and her three children - especially Delaney with whom Scott shared a special bond. Services will be at Dahl Funeral Chapel Friday February 19, 2021 at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Yellowstone Memorial Park. Memories may be shared at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Scott. I have known Carter for many years through golf and finally met Scott when I was working at Scheels. Scott would always call asking if we had any new 49ers gear. Especially looking for hats. I would always give him a hard time about wasting his money 49ers gears. We always had a good laugh when he came in and looked forward to seeing him.

I work at Granger and was there when Scott moved in 13 years ago. He grew and thrived there and learned to walk again after his stroke. He loved to brag about his family especially his brother Carter. He was so proud of Carter,and loved him dearly. He loved his other brother Mark too and was very sad when he past. He talked about his mom and how he loved her and always worried about her. He loved to watch sports and wear sports clothing. He had a love and respect for several staff members from the beginning and through the end. He loved to joke around, and he would get the giggles so much that tears would run down his face. He made his roommates and staff laugh. He talked about his years before the stroke on how he loved to go to bars or family outings. He said he and his brothers had good times out. Family was very important to him. I believe he is in his heaven fishing with his dad and brother Mark and is smiling cuz he no longer had anything disabilities. Hes free and having a good time. You are missed Scott ,you were my work friend too,not just someone I took care of. Good by for now. Teri Reichert From Granger group home.

Pastor Tim informed me of Scott's death, since we now live out of state. Our sympathy and prayers to Joyce and family. I was my great privilege to visit with Scott on behalf of American Lutheran Church. We had great conversations and I always felt uplifted by his joy for life and love of family. He never complained and worked his way through his difficulties one step at a time with optimism and faith. God's peace to all of his family at this difficult time. Dorothy and Cliff Haaland
