Anthony Tessmer

Anthony “Tony” Charles Tessmer, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 surrounded by his wife and three children. Tony was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, son, friend and teammate, and was with you fiercely in whichever role he was playing. During his battle with cancer, he remained strong, positive, and optimistic as he did in every aspect of life. Tony was born on April 7, 1966 in Minot, ND to Dennis and Jeri Tessmer. He grew up in Billings, MT with his three siblings; Maria, Mike and Dan all of whom he leaves behind. He attended Boulder Elementary School, Will James Middle School and graduated from West High school in 1984. He was an active participant in sports, but focused on football, where he continued his career at Rocky Mountain College. Tony graduated from Rocky in 1988 with his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. Tony met the love of his life in 1988 at a mud volleyball tournament at Rocky. After three months of dating, Tony proposed, and on June 24, 1989, he married Mary Ann Weber in Glasgow, MT. They raised three wonderful children, Michael, Haley and Hannah. Tony was a very dedicated husband and father. He never missed a chance to be involved in his children's athletics, whether it was coaching his son's basketball teams, or helping his daughters practice soccer and softball. Tony and Mary raised their children to always give 100% effort in everything they do, to always be kind and respectful to others and to never back down from any obstacle that came their way. Tony's work moved his family from Highlands Ranch, CO, to Temecula, CA, to Las Vegas, NV, and eventually back to his hometown Billings, MT. Tony approached his professional life with zeal and humility. As the consummate competitor and grinder, Tony would never give up and battled with relentless effort. Along the way, he made lifelong friendships mentoring others with his natural teaching ability, diligence, quick wit, precise sense of humor that was delivered to perfection in any situation, and genuine desire to help others succeed. Tony was a dedicated and hard working business owner who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. Whenever he got the chance, Tony played golf with his buddies and family at Yellowstone Country Club while enjoying a few cold ones on the patio after a “quick 18 holes” which sometimes ended up being more like 36. He enjoyed entertaining his friends and family with his amazing cooking, funny stories and contagious laugh.
