Obituary
Mildred Mae Anderson was born on July 28, 1930 to George Anderson and Velta Mae Hughes Anderson. Millie's early years were during the depression. Life was hard, but she had quite a few good memories such as moving from Iowa to California in a Model T Ford and camping along the way. Also the journey she made from California to beautiful Big Sky Montana in 1937. Montana is where she called home. She married William Douglas Jones on September 27, 1952. Through this union there were two children: Alice Rose and Larry Douglas. They lived off grid until Alice reach school age. They move to Drummond for a short time, then to Billings to farm. Millie went to work at the Billings Deaconess Hospital and worked there until William's health failed and he passed away September 27, 1967. She continued working at the hospital until she married Harold McLaughlin on December 21, 1968 and they moved to Forest Grove, MT. At that point they became ranchers. In 1970 they moved to Billings. Harold was transferred to Columbus to work for the county, and Millie worked at Stillwater Convalescent Center until retirement. After retiring, they bought property in Ryegate, MT and raised sheep and cattle until Harold's health started to fail and they moved back to Billings. Harold passed on September 9, 2007. Millie stayed in the Billings area until her passing March 23, 2021. Millie is survived by daughter, Alice; grandkids: Eli, Anna, Mary, Wayne, Akina; and several great grandkids: Kylee, Wyatt, Isaak, Ali, Bryan, Aiden, Jon, Reilly, Joey.
