Thomas Buechler

Thomas Joseph Buechler, 70, passed away on March 24, 2021 after a long illness. He was born on November 26, 1950 in Hardin to Joe and Billie Buechler. Tom graduated from Shepherd High School. He married Sue Wittmer. They had a daughter, Brandy. They lived in Arizona where he worked for ITT Grinnell for several years as a warehouse foreman. Tom and Sue later divorced. At age 50, Tom was diagnosed with Essential Tremors. After two brain surgeries to install implants to help calm his tremors it was discovered he also had Cranial and Rubral Tremors. The tremors prevented Tom from caring for himself. Tom lived by himself with assistance from some tremendous and compassionate caregivers from STEP and Spectrum. When he needed extensive care he moved to Aspen Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center. He lived there for three years until his passing. He was well cared for. Thank you to Stillwater Hospice for helping Tom live out his last days comfortably along with Aspen Meadows. Special gratitude to his niece, Chris Baker, her family and Sue Buechler for their love and support. Tom is survived by his daughter, Brandy and two granddaughters; sisters Ginger (Don) Kern, Linda (Mark) Steffes, Susie Kinghorn, Niki (Jerry) Thaut, Sharon (Tim) Miller; brothers Jerry (Rose), Jigger (Cathy), Dennis, dear friend Sue Buechler. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather, Tom McMullen; brother-in-law Ralph Kinghorn, sisters-in-law Dana and Brenda Buechler. Rest in peace, Brother. Your body is quiet now. At Tom's request, there will be no memorial service. Cremation will take place.
