Jerome Livingston

Jerome ‘Jerry' Livingston, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Billings Clinic, Billings MT. Jerry was born October 28, 1939 to Jess and Alice Livingston in Harlowton, MT. He grew up on the family ranch helping raise registered purebred Hereford cattle. Upon graduating from Harlowton High School, he went on to graduate with a B.S. from Montana State University. For nearly 50 years, he was a resident of Fishtail and after many years of self-employment, wood working and sourcing natural Montana field stone for masonry suppliers, he was hired by Stillwater Mining Company in 1988 where he proudly worked until his retirement in 2003. After retirement he was able to travel to Michigan to visit his children and grandchildren. He also spent many hours keeping his lawn neat and tidy. He took great pride in his lawn and the mower that he rode on to do it. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Tim and Jason. He is survived by brothers Hubert (Linda) and Alan (Arlene), former wife Virginia Livingston, their children, Lisa Rathke (Brian) and Jon Livingston (Sara), four granddaughters, Maggie, Katie, Jessie and Charlie and nephews Ty, Josh, Justin and Jamie. A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
