Joseph John Kleinsasser, 87, died June 30, 2021 at his residence at Mountain View Colony, Broadview, Montana. He was born November 1, 1933 in Magrath, Canada, the son of John and Susanna Hofer Kleinsasser. On July 10, 1958 Joseph married Rebecca Waldner at the Milford Hutterite Colony. Joseph was a colony schoolteacher and gardener for many years. He enjoyed singing Gospel songs and reading the Bible. Joseph is survived by his wife Rebecca of 62 years; daughters, Annie (Joe), Frieda (Eli) of Twin Hills Colony, Susanna (Joe) of Milford Colony, Tabitha (Don) of Sand Lake Colony; sons, Joe (Annie) of Mountain View Colony, Abe (Susanna), Ed (Clara), Dan (Helen) of Golden Valley Colony; sisters Sarah and Rachel; brother John all of Springdale Colony; 46 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Jacob and John; sisters Annie, Elizabeth, Mary, Justina and Susie; grandson Scotty; granddaughter Amanda. Funeral Service will be July 3, 2021 at Mountain View Colony. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings.

It has been bittersweet to learn of the passing of Joseph Kleinsasser last year. I remember his great kindness fondly, as we struck up a friendship when I brought several small groups from Powell, Wyoming to visit the Mountain View Colony some years ago. We all learned so very much. My condolences to the Kleinsasser family, yet may I join in rejoicing that Joseph Kleinsasser is now resting in the bosom of God.
