Emiliana Black

Emiliana "Mely" Medallo Black went home to the Lord on July 9, 2021. Mely was born on June 30, 1935 in the Philippines. As a child she grew up during the World War II. Mely met the love of her life Roger "Toby" Black during the Korean conflict, and the two were inseparable from that point on. For Toby it was love at first sight. Mely and Toby were married for 66 years, and went on to have 3 children., Joe Ann, Kelly (who proceeded her in death) and Janet. Mely and Toby left a family legacy of 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Mely was dearly loved, and she will be missed by her family, the friends of the Filipino community, and so many other lives that she touched with her bright smile and sweet deameanor. Mely was a "true" lady! Because in her life she was saintly, in her heart she was loving and pure. Her reward is a place in Heaven, our grief we must endure. After the clouds, the sunshine, after the winter, the spring. After the shower, the rainbow, for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease. After life's cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.
