My “heartfelt” sympathy goes to Jacquie and the family of Thomas. The news was a shock, such a loving, caring couple. Jacquie may the Lord be with you during this difficult time. Tom Hanel

Uncle Tom was the best. He was kind, loving and generous. The first time I met Tom was years ago at the old Dos Machos on 24th Street. Tom had spent the afternoon golfing and I think maybe he had a drink or two. As we sat in the booth Tom was leaning his head on Jacquie’s shoulder repeatedly telling her he loved her. He was so adorable and I wondered who this guy that loved my sister so much was? Tom became an intricate part of our lives from that time forward. I’ll miss Tom rolling his eyes at Jacquie and me as we came up with our next scheme. At the beginning of this past June Tom was willing to pay each of us NOT to have a garage sale. Oh no that wasn’t happening. We were so excited to have the sale….the morning of the sale can you guess who was our first customer? There was Tom making his first purchase and it was a piece of equipment. A few years ago Tom treated Jacquie and I to a dream adventure to watch the Denver Broncos in Denver. Once again he was rolling his eyes as Jacquie and I proceeded to the stadium three hours before the game so we could see Peyton walk from his car to the stadium. Was it the best day ever? Yes! Tom was generous in so many ways. Whether he was repairing a blown engine for a niece that forgot to put oil in the car, to fixing us dinner on the Traeger, to offering his mother-in-law to live with them and then letting her stay for the next 11 years! What kind of a man can do that? Tommy did that. Tommy did so much for so many people. Cheers to you Tom Kittson, thank you for the smiles, the laughs, the love and making our lives better.
