Billy Williams

Billy Lawrence Williams left this Earth on August 14, 2021 and went to Heaven to be with his loving Savior and all of the loved ones who went before him. Billy was born in Hemphill County, Texas on January 27, 1937 to Annie Lou Tipps Williams. In 1957, he hitched a ride on the back of a harvest crew truck and came to Montana. He fell in love with Montana and his future wife, Emilie Unterseher. They were married in 1958. Soon after, Bill prayed the sinners prayer and lived a Christian life until his passing. Bill worked for the railroad in Laurel for 38 years and retired in 1997. He loved the many friends he met and worked with. Bill loved traveling and he and his family took many motorhome trips all over the country. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. One of his favorite memories was catching a marlin in Hawaii. He loved cars, the old ones and the new ones. He loved collecting coins, going to Hardee's for coffee with his buddies, and watching old westerns on TV. One of his favorite activities was singing the old hymns. He would even yodel for you if you asked him to! He always accepted people no matter who they were. The most important point we'd like to express here is how much he loved his family. Everything he was and everything he did was for his family and he will be greatly missed! Bill and Emilie moved to Billings in 2015 and enjoyed condo living until he passed. In addition to his wife of 63 years, Bill is survived by four children: Cheryl Cornish, Tom, Lynn and Larry Williams. Bill has two grandchildren, David and Katyrie, a great grandson Michael, and a brother Frank. He also survived by two adopted grandsons, James and Kenny. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
