Colleen and I were just sisters of heart the first time we met. We met and worked together at the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital. Those long nights that we work together, not that I did not believe in our Lord, but Colleen and I would sit and talk of our love of Christ. Colleen had helped me and guided me to the Lord with an even deeper love and I had ever had. I can see her standing there in my minds eye and her saying, “I just want to preach the word of our Lord.” She fulfilled that calling in her life. What a blessing she was to all of us that she took under her wings and helped us and guided us through life. As one of the doctors said one morning, Colleen is a rock. That strength came from her love of her God. The day after she meant Gabe, she called me all excited, saying I have just meant the most wonderful man, a man of God and I think I am in love. I was so happy for her. She deserve the best in life and she got it with Gabe. A memory of one of those nights, we had been so busy and short staffed and we needed to give report to the oncoming shift. We decided that Colleen would tape report first, as I needed to finish up a couple of things. She didn’t come out of he report room and didn’t come, the clock was ticking and the dayshift was coming soon. Finally I went into the report room and there sat my dear sweet tired friend, head hanging backwards, mouth open a gap and asleep with the tape recorder on and ready to take her report. Whenever we got together we would always laugh about that night how tired she was and how I had to give a verbal report to the dayshift while she had a great snooze. Colleen was and ialways will be my sister in Christ. I will miss her until we meet again.

Sister Colleen I still can't believe you left us so soon 😢 💔 I will forever treasure our friendship 💖 I will always remember a time back when we attended Pentecostal Church in Lame Deer, we had an awesome evening service and were both slain under the power of the Holy Spirit. We were the last ones off the floor because the Spirit was so heavy on us we couldn't get up on our own, the Pastors Barb Bowen(RIP)and Jan Treas had to help us get up, then we got the laughing Spirit and couldn't get going for awhile again. We finally staggered to the Pastors house with help, still laughing. I will always treasure this memory 💖 I love you my beautiful Cheyenne sister. Give a big hug to my momma Theresa and our Pastor Barb Bowen ❤🌹🙏
