Henry Weschenfelder

Henry Weschenfelder went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday October 25, 2021. He was born August 20, 1933 in Park City, MT to Conrad and Katie Weschenfelder. They lived on a farm near Park City where Henry was raised and learned to work side by side with his dad. All of his schooling was in Park City, and he was on their first ever football team in high school. “Football was his favorite subject.” Henry stayed on the farm and married his high school sweetheart, Lillian Sitzman on March 9, 1952. He enjoyed telling people that they both started first grade together, so they have been together all their lives. They had three children who were all raised on the same farm. In 1956 Henry accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and taught his children to love the same Savior. He and Lillian became youth leaders in the church for many enjoyable years and still have contact with some of them. Henry was always willing to offer help with his time and machinery to three different churches and one Bible Camp when there was remodeling or an addition to be made. In 1976 Henry purchased the T Bone feedlot in Shepherd only to find it came without instructions! He had to start from scratch. The Lord made it possible to hire several men who had helped to build the feedlot and they had most of the answers and the Lord also protected them from accidents and mistakes. He finally was ready to buy cattle but he also had to do the farming to raise corn for feed so the hard work began. He was able to hire good people, including three family members and things shaped up into a good program. Some of the older cattlemen in the area said “that kid will never make it”, but after 45 years he was still there! The business brought tours from Russia, Japan, Minnesota, some colleges and school field trips. With this being said, Henry's family was more important to him and he always made time for camping trips and taught many grandkids to water ski. Best of all was Christmas Eve after church services when everyone gathered at Grandpa's house. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Cody Weschenfelder. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of 69 years; sister, Donna (Rev. David) Sanderson and stepsister, Jan (Rick) Scott; children, Dan (Paula), Dick (Linnea) and Susan (Willard) Ketterling; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday November 10, 2021 at 1 pm at Shepherd Bible Church. A luncheon will follow the service with internment at Park City Cemetery.
