Betty Wulf

Betty Wulf passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on November 1, 2021. Betty and her twin brother Bob were born to Leighton and Isabel Gribble in Butte MT on August 19, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John (Jack), son James Anthony (Tony), and brother Bob. She attended Emerson Elementary School and graduated from Butte High School in 1943. Betty took tap dancing and played the piano. On her 13th birthday, she received a baby grand piano from her parents. While attending the Butte High Prom her junior year, Betty met the love of her life, Jack Wulf who was at the Prom with one of his cousins. They began dating the next week. Following high school, Betty went to the Saint James School of Nursing. She became an RN as a member of the Army Nurse Corp. She then worked as a nurse at the Murray Hospital. In 1945, Jack returned to Butte after serving 2 years with the Marine Corps in the Aleutian Islands and rekindled their relationship. They were married September 7, 1945 in Butte, MT. They had five children: Sally (Mike Adams), Janet (Cliff Mahoney), James Anthony, Joe (Lori), and Todd (Laura). While the kids were growing up, Betty was involved in The Camp Fire Girls as a group leader as well as the Camp Nurse. She was also an active in member of PTA, an Organist at Saint Joseph Church, a Women's Cursillo Rectora, and a Georgetown Lake campground host with Jack. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Council of Catholic Women, and the Doll Dreamers Doll Club. Betty's priorities were being an outstanding wife, raising her kids, and being a good friend, and she loved to host parties in her back yard in Butte. Betty's fondest time was the annual camping trip at Georgetown Lake. She enjoyed all the family getting together and having a good time. This last August was no exception. Betty and Jack lived in their home in Butte for 57 years then moved to Billings in 2007. She enjoyed all the holidays always surrounded by family. She is survived by 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of the Rockies, or your charity of choice.
