Tucker Noonkester

December 16, 1985 - November 29, 2021

Obituary

Tucker Joel Noonkester our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and nephew at age 35 left this world on Monday, November 29, 2021 to join his heavenly Father. Words fail to express how deep and wide the heartbreak is with Tucker's sudden departure nor can they describe his unwavering strength, solid wisdom, and sharp humor that we will forever miss. Although Tucker's life was not nearly long enough for our liking, we are hard pressed to find anyone who lived all of their days with as much passion, dedication, and shenanigans as he did. Tucker was born on December 16, 1985 in Sacramento, California to his parents Laurie and Grant. His first friend and brother Colter greeted him with great plans for playing tractors and shooting guns. Their playing in the dirt as children would later lead to an exemplary career in construction. Colter and Tucker welcomed their younger brother Travis and eventually (and finally) their treasured baby sister Mikhael. Cousin Steven Graham joined the clan and the shenanigans reached an epic level. Being raised on the ranch at Laurel began Tucker's lifelong love for all manners of livestock, well except rouge roosters and barn cats. The family would relocate to Pryor Creek, close to grandparents, Margaret and Everett Noonkester who helped foster Tucker's unmatched work ethic and deeply held faith in Christ. Tucker was extremely fortunate to work alongside his grandfather, father, brothers, and great friend Johnny Walker on the Pryor Creek Golf Course. This experience and later building the Bully Pulpit Golf Course in Medora North Dakota would be the catalyst in Tucker receiving the Montana State and National FFA Proficiency Turf Grass Management Award. He participated in FFA and Huntley Eagles 4-H. Tucker graduated from Huntley Project High School in 2004 in which the family is forever grateful to the entire community for their graciousness during his high school career. Tucker went on to attend Northwest College in Powell, WY. 4-H is where a cute little red head from Shepherd would steal his heart forever. Katie Mosher agreed to be his beloved wife and they were married on June 12, 2009. To his delight, Tucker was enveloped into the beautiful and vibrant Mosher/Goggins family. Although he learned to respect blue and gold he was forever loyal to the red and black. With Tucker's heels dragging in the dirt, they would eventually settle in on the “other side of the river”. Katie-1, Tucker-0 Tucker and Katie would begin their grand adventure as a family by welcoming their son Everett Blane in 2011 (Tucker took great pride in being able to name a son after his best friend and grandfather) Audrey Mae in 2013, Harper Jane in 2016 and rounding out the house on Rooster Ridge with Ruby Rose in 2019. There was no greater honor Tucker could have been given than to be called Husband and Daddy and his family was his greatest joy. In the words of Tucker, “I do everything with my family in mind, and if they can't be a part of it, I don't want it.” Tucker was a true patriot, defender of truth, soldier of Christ and a fierce and formidable protector of those he loved. You were blessed to be called “his”. Tucker is proceeded in death by Grandparents, Everett and Margaret Noonkester, Clarine Stovall and Hi Whitlock, Patrick Goggins, Roland and Carol Mosher, brothers Grant Jr and Chad. Uncles Clint Stovall, Everett (Bub) and Lester Noonkester. Tucker is survived by his Beautiful Little Redhead Katie, son Everett, and daughters Audrey, Harper, and Ruby. Mother Laurie Stovall Kvamme (Phil), Father Grant Noonkester (Berease). Siblings, Alan, Colter (Nadezda), Travis Noonkester (Jen), Steven Graham (Kim), Mikhael Selle (Nick), Brandon (Lisa), Russell (Randie) and Mick Mosher (Kensey Mikkelsen). Bonus siblings, Damian, Skylar, and Noah (Hannah) Kvamme, Hali and Rachel Noonkester. Nephews and nieces, Deandra, Shelby, Cullen, Liam, Lucas, Valentin, Keegan, Kayden, Sophia, Adalynn, Sidney and baby to be, Kora, JayLei, Brody, Grace, Maycee, Grady and Axton. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on 12/3 Friday, 12/4 Saturday, and 12/6 Monday at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Ave. Vigil is at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday, December 8th at St. Bernard's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Reception will be held at Chancey's Event Center on Pryor Creek Road in Huntley, the family will leave the reception at 1:30 to travel to Red Lodge for burial. Tucker's family would like to give a special thank you to Riley Smith, Tony McDonald, Signal Peak Energy, and all of those who have reached out, provided your love, prayers, food, and the life restoring hugs. Blake Miracle you hold a special place in our hearts and family. Should you wish to donate to the care of Tucker's family, a Tucker Noonkester Family Memorial Fund will be set up at Stockman Bank.

I had opportunity of working a few years with Tucker. Found him to be one of the most respectful people I knew. I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard he left us. I am still in disbelief and pray his family can heal from his loss soon. The Noonkester family were all so very pleasant folk. And my heart goes out to them during this Christmas season.

Tucker Noonkester was a good and honorable man. A man of Faith - upright, and true. It was most certainly a pleasure to work with him. I will miss him greatly.... And that fateful day, that took his life, did indeed open a "new" chapter for him in Eternity. He did not leave us unattended, nor without purpose. His talent and commitment to his work were only shadows of his greater Life's testament. The family he leaves behind can attest to that. Because his love will continue to endure in their hearts; even as they look within for hope and for renewed strength in the days, weeks and years to come. They often say that "The Good Die Young". I like to think that Tucker fit that bill to a "T". Though unfortunate a tragic and even untimely was his death, it cannot go without saying that while we lose another precious soul to our Earthly bound mission in this Realm, he will now walk in Realms where the Angels tread.
