Keith Specht

Keith Leonard Specht died December 4, 2021, suddenly in his home in Billings, MT. He was 71 years old. Keith was born on August 1, 1950, in Garden City, KS to Gale Specht and Betty (Mead) Specht. He was one of three boys born to this union (Don Specht (Karen), Ralph Specht). Keith was a bit of a rambling man! He moved quite a lot in his younger years doing quite a few different crafts (jack of all trades) including farming, welding, mechanic, auto body, truck driving, and custom harvesting. He set roots at different times in Colorado, North Dakota, and eventually settled down permanently in Montana. Keith loved his family but relied a little on the school of hard knocks for his family and children. He had high expectations that we all work alongside him and learn how to do different trades to help us to be more independent later on in life. He taught us there wasn't anything we couldn't do if we put our minds to it. Keith married Patricia McCaffrey on December 21, 1968. From this union, four children were born: John Specht (Angel), Billings, MT, Tamara Clay, Laurel, MT, Jeff Specht (Pam), Billings, MT, and Thomas Specht, Billings, MT. Keith was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Ralph. He is survived by his brother Don Specht; his four children: John Specht, Tamara Clay, Jeffrey Specht, and Thomas Specht; his ten grandchildren: Jeffrey Specht, Michael Clay, Anthony Specht, Tyler Specht, Allison Clay, Ashley Specht, Kayla Specht, Austin Specht, Allen Specht, and Kenny Specht; four great-grandchildren; Indie Specht, Easton Specht, Marcus Zavala, and Easton Baker. “And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.” Keith will be remembered and missed by many.
