Jennifer Lakel

Jennifer Lakel was granted her angel wings as she passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022 at the age of 41. Jennifer was born in Billings, MT on April 28, 1980, to Jim Lakel and Diane Bache. She was the oldest of two children and grew up in Laurel, MT for most of her childhood. There she was blessed with her lifelong friends: Toni, Stacey, Amanda, and Amber. They spent their days baking, riding bikes with the neighborhood kids, roller skating, and enjoying the outdoors. Every year Jennifer would look forward to visiting her grandparents at their cabin near Libby, MT. In high school, Jennifer played softball and sang in the choir before graduating with the class of 1998. After high school, Jennifer went on to spend over twenty years as a talented and well-respected CNA. Despite her health concerns, Jennifer remained steadfast in her faith and never failed to inspire those around her with hope. With her constant optimism and positivity, she persevered through every hardship that came her way. Jennifer will forever be remembered for her willingness to help others. The compassion and tenderness she showed her patients over these decades were noticed and appreciated by all. Jennifer was truly a picture of goodwill. Her smile and laugh will be greatly missed and forever cherished. Jennifer is welcomed into heaven by her mother Diane and her younger brother Jeffrey. She is survived by her two daughters Samantha and Cadence, her partner of ten years, Norm Nading, and her cat: the sweet Bandit boy. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 30 at 1:00 PM at Dahl Funeral Chapel. A reception is to follow the service. Graveside service will be in Plains, MT sometime in July at the Lynch Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her mother and brother.
