Frances was a good friend. We moved to Red Lodge in August, 1972 and met her and West soon thereafter. She invited me to the ranch to pick green beans! Couldn't have been many days after, since frost would have come perhaps by mid-September. We didn't see each other often but my birthday is 6/25, so once West & Frances came to our house in Billings for a birthday party to celebrate us both. She was always friendly and generous.
