Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of Damian Kvamme who passed away on February 14, 2022, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Damian was born to Brandy Durham on November 15, 1993 and shared through adoption at age 4 with Phil and Lisa (Norris) Kvamme. Born and raised in Billings he graduated from Senior High School in 2012 and recently completed his degree in Business Administration from Purdue University. He loved the challenges found in pursuing a career in the financial industry working for banks, insurance companies and lastly as a Title Analyst for a large mortgage company in Indianapolis. His journey took him to Portland OR, Evansville IN and finally Indianapolis.

Everywhere he went he quickly made a circle of good friends with most becoming lifelong friends including as far back as high school. Everyone that knew him, at some point, were on the receiving end of the “Damian Look” but also were blessed to hear his hearty laugh that made everyone around him feel welcome. His passion was meeting friend's every Friday night for games, hot tubbing, Harry Potter movies or any social event that brought his friends together. He loved spending time in Seeley Lake with friends and family and embraced his role of “Uncle Damian” playing with nieces and nephews on the beach.

He is survived by his parents Phil (Laurie) Kvamme and Lisa (Norris) Kvamme, birth mom Brandy (Durham) Jones, his sister and brother Skylar Hill and Noah (Hannah) Kvamme; stepbrothers and sisters Katie Noonkester, Colter (Nadia) Noonkester, Travis (Jen) Noonkester, Mikhael (Nick) Selle, Steven (Kim) Graham, Rosie Lorash (William) and Destiny Jones; Grandmother Bonnie Norris and quite a fan club of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Ron Norris; Rod and Pauline Kvamme and most recently stepbrother Tucker Noonkester whom we know was there to welcome Damian home.

A memorial and graveside service will be held in Seeley Lake at a later date when friends and family have warmer weather to travel and enjoy. In lieu of flowers or other gifts please consider a donation to Riverstone Hospice in Damian's honor.

Dear Lisa and family: I was so sorry to hear of Damian's death. I always will remember him as one of my special friends from the Tree Street neighborhood. Damian helped me out with my yard many times, was very responsible, never complained, was always easy to talk with and was a good guy all around. I will miss him and know you do too! A big hug to you all. Love, Mary Pickett Parker

I had no idea Damian had passed away until now, and my heart is broken. We were super close friends in elementary school and had shared multiple birthday parties together. Rest in peace my sweet friend, I'll miss you forever...
