Nathan Daniel

Nathan Earl Daniel of Powell, WY, age 76, passed away in Billings, MT on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Nathan was born to Johnny W. and Viola R. (Avery) Daniel on September 20, 1945 in Fort Smith, AK. After moving to California, Nathan met his future wife, Shirley Ann Hazelwood; they were married on December 16, 1966 In Strathmore, CA and became the proud parents of three children, Michael, Michelle, and Marcus. Nathan served in the Army Reserves for six years. He was a general building contractor who was involved in the kids' activities as well as his community. Nathan enjoyed basketball, football, and fishing and was member of the Bass Club. Besides sponsoring youth baseball, he also took pleasure in spending time on the golf course. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: Johnny and Claudesa Tennessee (Patterson) Daniel, Cosmosmor and Rhoda (Ross) Avery; sister: Joyce Sheldon; brother: Gene Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley; sons: Michael (Jonna) Daniel of Strathmore, CA, Marcus Daniel of Springville, CA; daughter: Michelle (Randall) Wallace of Powell, WY; grandchildren: Kourtney (Heather) Crowell, Lacy (Bryan) Chenowith, Ashley (Chris) Gemmell, Woody Wallace (Randi Ripatoe), and Mariah Daniel. Nathan is also survived by four brothers: Dan, John, Sammy, and Matt; four sisters: Mildred Wilson, Sharon Tryon, Priscilla Chenowith, and Lois Brown; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service and burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Woodville Public Cemetery, 17203 Ave 168, Woodville, California.
