We are shocked and saddened to hear of Leroy's passing. We were supposed to meet at a reunion at the Grant-Kohr's Ranch in Montana in 2005. Leroy, unfortunately, was unable to make it. Later, we were thrilled that his parents were able to come from Alaska to Yukon to visit us. We were cousins who became good friends. I will always regret not meeting Leroy in person. A traditional Yukon belief is that when you see the northern lights, you are seeing your loved ones dancing to their new world. I'll smile and wave, cousin.

The world has lost a truly extraordinary man that helped many. He shared his numerous talents love and laughter. For over forty years I have called Leroy my brother and best friend.
