Obituary
Kristine Marie Anderson, 58, passed peacefully at Riverstone Hospice on August 6, 2022. She was born on March 5,1964 to Nora (Mullowney) and Jon G. Anderson at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. Kris fought a courageous battle against colon cancer and while her mind was always sharp and humorous, her body grew tired.
Kris spent her childhood living in Florida, Mississippi and Colorado before her family settled in Billings, Montana. She attended Elysian Elementary, Riverside Jr. High and West High School.
Kris worked various jobs, but her favorite was working as a Pharmacy Tech at Wal-Mart. She made many friends while working and during her treatments at the Frontier Cancer Center/St. Vincent Healthcare Cancer Center. Kris was also blessed to have Alma and Adrian as her neighbors and great friends. Kris was an avid animal lover with a special heart for cats and Zoo Montana. And as anyone close to Kris knew, she loved The Walking Dead, and we were all told to never call her during the show!
Kris is preceded in death by her father Jon G. Anderson, stepmother Christine Anderson and Uncle Mike Mullowney.
Kris is survived by her mother and stepfather Nora and Rodd Lautt, sister Annette (Brad) Lawrence, nieces Jennifer Lawrence and Paige (Skyler) Best, great nephews Jayden, Jordan and Skyler Jr., very special cousins Doug (Yvonne) Mullowney, Tim (Wendi) Mullowney, Lynn (Ned) Mullowney-Cabrera, PJ (Iris) Mullowney, Jim Mullowney, Betty (Spurway) McKinney, aunts Lavina (Swede) Christian, Teri (Gary) Ruff, uncles Gary Anderson, Greg Anderson and more beloved cousins.
Special thanks to Dr. Fiddler, Dr. Amy Solomon and all the staff at both The Frontier Cancer Center/St. Vincent Healthcare Cancer Center and Riverstone Health.
Per Kris' wish, cremation has taken place and spreading of her ashes in the spring is planned. Kris did not want a service, please feel free to make donations to any animal rescue or Zoo Montana in her honor. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared here at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Kris, you are loved and are missed!
