God bless Jim and Rose. We are thinking and praying for everyone. Jim was the toughest person I knew and the most caring. He is a legend in his time.

Our grandson was visiting and we took him out to Jim's place because he was fascinated with tractors and backhoes and big equipment. He was 3 years old. Jim put him in the tractor and let him work the controls. He did not stop smiling for 3 hours. He was thrilled. Another memory we have of Jim is how kind he was to Allouice Mathern, Don's mother. He watched over her like a hawk. He made her laugh all the time. Jim was one of the most genuine, generous people we had ever known. We will miss his phone calls and his gruff voice. RIP Jim. Jim was one of a kind. He endured so much in the past few years, but never gave up. He always had a great attitude and gave so much to so many. It was so wonderful to see the way Jim and Rose loved and cared for each other. They were true soul mates. He truly loved his family and his friends. We were so fortunate to have had the privilege of spending holidays and special occasions with him. He will truly be missed.
