Oh, where do I begin? I started working for Stephen (and Selina) as a teenager. Through out the eight years I worked at Jade Palace, the Tang family became just like family me…often calling them selves my “Chinese Parents”. Stephen always gave the best advice. One time specifically…it was my first winter driving and I was terrified to drive home. Stephen would tell me to “drive slow, feather the breaks”. We sat and talked until I finally felt confident enough with his teachings to leave. Stephen had the biggest heart and cared so much about his employees. Stephen would often tell silly jokes at work, and giggle at them with us. I always enjoyed listening to his stories when he would travel. After I had my fist child and was a supervisor at the restaurant, there were times Stephen would call me into work and tell me to “just bring the baby”. He would sit in the side room and play with Corderro, making Faces and talking to him in the sweetest voice. Sometimes I think he really just wanted to spend time with the baby ❤️ I will always miss your laugh, your wise words and your wisdom, Stephen! And I will carry your memory with me forever.

I cannot begin to share A memory as I have so many of them. Stephen and Selina were the most gracious, generous, giving people we’ve ever met. They treated my husband as one of their own the entire time he worked for them. When our daughter was born, she was always showered with gifts and love from the family. Years after they closed Jade, they still made sure to keep in touch and we were always happy to hear about what was going on. He will be dearly missed. All our love to the family, and prayers for peace. Hugs to all of you - Bryan and Gina

The obituary is absolutely so spot on!!! It may me smile As, I read it and it brought back many memories of when he lived with us and his visits back to Washington and the meals we shared with him and Selina. I remembered one particular one is when he was back in town for a wedding and he was late. We found out later. The reason is because he got hungry and stopped to have a bit before even though there will be food at the reception which he ate again. He loved life, like he love food and he is a very generous person. He will be missed greatly. Love you, Cousin! Your Cousin, Patty (Ching) from Seattle.
