Obituary
Melissa Ann Darling left us on October 19, 2022, the daughter of Russ and Laura Gause, born September 21, 1984, in Billings, Montana. She was united in marriage with William Darling II on June 6, 2009, to this union Nicholas was joined with them. Then they were blessed with William (Junior) Darling III, their family was complete.
Learning was important to Missy. She continued her education and worked with littles at Head Start, she continued with Young Families. Her coworkers and job were very important.
Missy was very crafty and loved making clothing and decorating for her family. It was always fun to see if Missy would bring a cute light up snowman or a mini toilet paper filled covid ornament. Wonder how long it took to roll that paper. She gave but expected nothing in return.
Melissa my mom had a heart of gold. Melissa was a mama bear. She was a boy mom full of spirit. She was loud when she needed to be, and she loved her family. She loved her leggings (how many?), hoodies, bling, Dallas Cowboys, her dogs, and that phone. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her family.
We are left to cherish her memory son Nicholas, Dad and Mom, Sister April (Cory), Rosy (Mike), brothers Jeremy, Russell (Kate). Numerous nieces and nephews, also survived by several special cousins, many special Aunts and Uncles, Great Aunt Iline, LaVonne and Great Uncle Ray, Aunt Kathy (Steve), Father-in-Law Bill Darling (Nancy) Nana Elaine Popp was a very Special person in Melissa's life. They did their daily things together 24-7. She loved taking care of her.
Left to greet her in heaven is brother A.J, Son Junior and husband Billy grandparents Elmer and Jeannie, Harry and Annabelle, Aunt Donna, and Papa Jim.
Melissa had a smile that would light up a room and always greeted you with it. Missy we will miss that special smile. The family would like to thank Tyler and Nathaniel for being by Nicholas side. We all love you. Your family Melissa was blessed and loved by two wonderful families.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday October 29, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church in Billings, Montana with Interment to follow at Mountview Cemetery. Potluck will follow back at the church.
A Memorial fund has been set up for Junior and Melissa at Altana Federal Credit Union in the name of Nicholas Darling.
