What a wonderful tribute! JD was a good friend and will be dearly missed. His random calls in the morning to meet up for breakfast, road trips to WY Judo tournaments, and long phone conversations about life are just a few memories I will cherish. The Lord's peace to Aubrey and all the family. Love, -Willis

Oh my, what intense conversations we would have after he would (literally) carry me up the stairs to Margaret's house--for weeks! He would play with the dogs, sit on the floor and just talk, taking time from his day to visit me and help me heal. And then there was Christmas--so thankful to have been included in the May family along with Sister Kathleen and Margaret. And Liz's senior show? How proud JD was of her and how much he loved all his kiddos. So much could be said about how deeply he held his convictions and how deeply he felt things. I’m grateful he was my friend, and I so wish we could talk again. I will miss you, JD, and I will pray for you and for Aubrey and all your family. Love, Mary

I always loved talking with JD, I will miss him dearly! I enjoyed training with him and traveling to Judo competitions with him to Denver. He was a loyal friend and you always knew where you stood with him. Rest easy my friend! Condolences to his family.

JD and the Mays welcomed me into their lives like a friend and a child. He truly was a faithful friend in whom I could rely for prayers and pieces of advice. Faithful till the end, he surprised me with his family when they came on July 16th this year to my Final Profession of Vows. I was definitely not expecting them, certainly not expecting anyone to make the long road trip from Montana to Wisconsin for the event. But that is the kind of caring friend he is. The gesture brought me to tears and profoundly touched my family. I keep you in my prayers, dear friend, and may Our Blessed Mother watch over your family.
