Obituary

Sherri Richterich went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 13, 2023. She was born the youngest of 16 brothers and sisters on August 26, 1945, in Billings, Montana, to Theobold and Lydia Derheim. She grew up on the south side of Billings and graduated from Billings Senior High School. After graduation, she married Ben Klotz and had two children, Paula and Steve. She was later married to the love of her life, Dallas Richterich, for 39 years. Dallas brought three daughters to the family, Kaylea, Lana, and Julie. Sherri and Dallas spent their days sharing happiness and laughter while camping, hunting, fishing, and searching for treasures and antiques while garage saling. Sherri also enjoyed traveling the western United States with her close friends and sisters attending Gaither Vocal Band gospel concerts where they earned the title of “Gaither Groupies”. Sherri herself loved to sing and played the piano and guitar. Her beautiful voice could be heard around the house, in the car, in the church choir, and singing duets with her niece and best friend JoAnn Mayer. She loved being outside taking walks and spending time in her flower garden. Her home was well known to friends and family as she frequently hosted Sunday dinners, family gatherings, and holiday celebrations. Sherri loved serving the Lord and was always very involved with her church. She was a “prayer warrior” and lovingly influenced many lives. Sherri lived her life true to her beliefs.


She is preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings. She is survived by her husband, Dallas; three brothers; five children: Paula (Jim) Pilon, Steve Klotz, Kaylea Johnson, Lana (Jason) Strickling, and Julie Richterich (William Lueck) and eight grandkids.


Interment will take place at 11:00 am, January 21, 2023, at Huntley Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 pm at First Alliance Church, 1835 Central Ave.

I've know Sherri for over 30 years. We attended CMA church and sang together in choir. She had a beautiful voice and a sweet spirit. I have no doubts that she is in heaven singing with the angels! Tim and Deb Degnan

Sherri and I met over 40 years ago at church. She instinctively knew I needed a friend. Our friendship lasted all these years! I loved our visits snd she was never afraid to “set me straight” if she thought I needed advice! Love her and Dallas with all my heart! Look forward to seeing her in heaven!

Sherri and I were friends and pretty much sisters from childhood. Most of my memories of her were of us always singing for fun, starting with singing to the Everly Bros with our hairbrush microphones. As we got older, it became singing to our favorite Christian groups, such as the Gather Vocal Band, church choir and special music. One of my favorite memories was hearing Sherri sing O Holy Night every Christmas Eve. Having Sherri in my life was a real blessing.
