Melessia Rogers

Melessia Len Rogers of Custer, Montana, age 50, was surrounded by family as she passed away on February 19, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on April 28, 1972, to Larry and Val Christofferson.

Melessia graduated from Forsyth High School in 1990, and on August 25, 1990, she married the love of her life, Justin Rogers. They lived in Custer, Montana for a few months before moving to Pocket Creek Ranch which was her home for the rest of her life. Melessia attended Rocky Mountain College. On September 5, 1995, their daughter Jessica joined their family. Melessia later became a Para Educator at the Hardin Intermediate School.

Beading, reading, and spending time with family were Melessia's favorite activities. After she was blessed with two grandchildren, Sophia and Valeree, she added babysitting to that list of favorites.

Melessia was preceded in death by her mother, Val, and stepfather, Earnie Cornett. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Justin; daughter Jessica Rogers (Andrew Bara); father Larry Christofferson (Rolane); brother Justin Christofferson (Jami); brother Doug Jonas; sister Andrea Olson (Chad); brother Nathan Christofferson (Courtney); brother Scott Christofferson (Natasha); granddaughters Sophia and Valeree Bara; Linda Cornett (wife to the late Earnie Corrett); many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her two best friends Julie Perry and Julie Stieber.

Melessia will be missed by all her family and friends. A memorial is planned for the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Melessia's name may be sent to Custer Memorial Park, P.O. Box 63, Custer, Montana 59024.
