Obituary
Richard “Dick” Clarence Burgett, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, November 28, 2013 in Aspen Meadows in Billings, Montana. He was born July 29, 1929 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Clarence B. “Ben” and Hazel (Vosler) Burgett. Dick came to Montana in January 1946 to be a cowboy and worked in the Brockway, Circle and Jordan areas. After he got out of the Army, Dick met and married Amy Jensen of Circle on June 11, 1954. They lived and worked in eastern Montana, Colorado and Washington state. Dick retired in September 1996 and they moved to Billings. Dick is survived by his wife Amy; son Dean (Karen) Burgett; daughter Nancy (Tim) Gierke; four grandchildren and their families; one sister, Dee Ellis, SC; one brother Ray Burgett, Cove, OR, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brother Cliff and sisters Mary Jane Burgett, Hazel Sukopp, Alice Lundeen. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings. Inurnment will follow immediately at Mountview Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to the caring staff at Aspen Meadows.

Dear Amy, Nancy, Dean and extended family, I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I know it is hard to let go even if , just like my sisters Louise and Barbara, they are trapped in a body that no longer can provide a normal way of life. So praise god that Dick is once again , in that respect,set free! Know that I am thinking of you and your family and remembering the great times our families had together.
