Darlene Rouse

Darlene L Rouse, 83, of Billings, MT, passed away in her home on March 27th, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.

Darlene "Dar" was the second daughter born to George and Lena (Wright) Luce in Niagara Falls, New York. She had five siblings. An older sister Susie, younger sisters Clara and Carol, and younger brothers George "Whip", and William “Bill”. They grew up on the family farm in upstate New York, which Dar loved to tell stories about.

Dar loved history, adventure, traveling, working with her hands, and renovating homes. She was a fierce, feisty, hardworking, amazingly talented, and loving woman. All of which she passed down to her three children, Joni, Donny, and Lori.

Dar was preceded in death by her parents George and Lena Luce, Sister Susie Burton (Bill), Sister Clara Smith, Daughter Lori Sarrazin, Son-in-law John Schug, and Nephew Vincent Salvatore Raggio III.

She is survived by her Siblings Carol Capone (Sam), Whip Luce (Nancy), Bill Luce (Nan), Brother-in-law Ralph Smith, Children Joni Schug, Donny Smith (Barbie), Grandkids Johnnie Schug, Chris Schug (Nikki), Don Hayes, Mindy Stewart, Wesson Smith (Lindsey), George Smith (Kara), Stetson Sarrazin (Whitney) and many Great Grandkids, Great Great Grandkids, Nieces, and Nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park on April 3rd, 2023, at 11 am in celebration of her life.
